I've been superslow with this blog entry - sorry! I've been my own boss for 11 whole days now and it's going good. :-) It's scary, but good. 

I've had one shoot so far, and I have one on Sunday as well. The one I had last week was with Mona and it actually went very well. I didn't think it would for a huge chunk of the day, but we pulled through. :)  Some behind the scenes:

I met Guro for a cup of coffee today, which lasted like 3 hours, and it was great to see her again. She's got a job at a place called Cosmo Beauty, which is actually a Norwegian brand. Their make-up is apparently awesome. I'm gonna go and visit her next week and try some on; it would be nice to support some locals instead of just buying everything online. 

Anyway.. we talked tons and we're just both very excited to start shooting! I have to try and calm myself down a bit tho, cos I can't start off too excited and then get let down when I don't do enough or can't get enough done <- beauty shoots that is.

I actually got ELLE February and another ELLE spread but I don't know which issue that one is for. Fun fun ^^

And I saw this when getting off the train a few days ago:

I feel like the Storsenter images just pop up randomly all over the place. Fun! :) This one looks really good! 

What I have done is I've actually quit my job at Interfoto. December is my last month! That means that from January on, I'm a 100% reliant on customers to actually have an income. Independant woman! Haha. 

What I have also done is get myself a studio with 6 others. For a week I was struggling with the choice of two studios, one with photographers that have been professional and worked as it for many years, and one with young people such as myself just starting off, and that's the one I went for. I think I'm going to end up being much more creative with young excited minds. :-)

I've already talked to Guro (my beloved MUA) and we're going to have sooo many photoshoots. My plan is to keep having retouching as my main job, but I'm going to replace Interfoto with photography, so I'm going to try and get some income from there as well. The days I don't have a beauty shoot with Guro and no retouching, I'm going to go down to the studio and practice my product shooting. Just take with me a bottle of perfume and try and light it to perfection. 

Sounds like a plan to you? It does to me! Eek. 

Oh and PS. I got ELLE cover for February as well - woo :-) Almost two ELLEs in a row! 

I hope bushy eyebrows are still "in". :x

It was -5 C when we were there and that was the coldest it had been in many years and it's -11 here today and no one is noticing. What to them is almost a blizzard with a little snow and wind is to us a normal day. We almost lost the plane because the Metro suddenly stopped and threw us off and all the Taxi companies were super busy cos people weren't catching their planes. 

I jumped out in the road when I saw a taxi approacing and we got in with two other random people also stressed out. We went through security which of course slowed us down when they just wanted to have a quick look in my bag as there was a bottle with nothing there. Duh. The woman at the check in said we would we fine if we just hurried a little, but suddenly it said "Gate closing" and they called out for the last two people missing = us. We ran like craazy and made it just in time. SO CLOSE. 

But alas, the plane stood at the same spot basically for 1,5 hours cos of 3cm snow on the ground and a few snow flakes falling down.

Silly danes. 

Other than that the weekend was nice! :-)

On the other hand; I'm starting a little beard project. All guys with beard contact me so we can have a little chat ^
