PhotoCamp and the future
november 12, 2010 at 10:10 AM Only took a few days from my last entry to this one! It's getting better! :-)
PhotoCamp is this weekend. It's an event that Interfoto hosts where several prominent photographers are coming and lots of exhibitions ect. Come see! Go to photocamp.no to read up on it (the site is in Norwegian).

I've got a notice that the wedding invite papers have arrived so that project is gonna begin soon. Hopefully next week. Workworkwork! :-)
Last piece of news is that I'm probably going to be having a shoot with talented Tone Oraini from Chopcakes! She makes beautiful cupcakes and since I need some practice in shooting food, I thought what better to shoot than these gorgeous little temptations? Check out her blog at chopcakes.blogspot.com :-)
This is my inspiration. It's taken from Broncolors Effect Lamps brochure:

Wedding invitations
november 4, 2010 at 5:09 PM I've been holding workshops/classes at Bilder Nordic since October for 4 different classes so far, and having my last two next week. I've always thought that teaching is the last thing I'd be doing, especially seeing as I have no patience at all when people don't understand what I say. Surprisingly, the students thought I was doing really good and they all felt like they learned something; fun! :-)

I've been presented a fun project by Haje, the bride-to-be whom I've already shot the engagement party to (in my Wedding section). She wants me to make her wedding invitations!
I've not done that before, but since I'm in my confident mood lately, I proudly accepted! The paper has been ordered from LCIpaper.com with matching envelopes and design is getting there. It's going to be a pretty big party with 150 guests or so. Phuh! I'm also shooting the wedding pictures in May. Looking forward to it! :-)
Not much else to share at the moment. I've had so much to do with retouching that I've sort of put photography and everything on the shelves. Too much work makes me tired and I don't get inspired by things when I'm tired so I'm just walking around waiting for that one thing that makes me go "OH! COOL!" and automatically makes me have an entire photoshoot in my head.
Until then, cheeeerio! :)
Amounts of work!
oktober 30, 2010 at 10:30 AM Gah.. the amount of work I've had! I'm not complaining, I promise. I'm just trying to explain why I haven't blogged in ages.
The Hodo-series is out and can be seen under Fashion and Hodo. I really like how it came out! :) I was scared I wouldn't be able to retouch it for another month or so, but luckily I managed!
I've also shot Årets Frisør (Hairdresser of the year) for hairdresser Fin-Olav Prydz. I'm very excited to see how he does! The styles were black bobs with hard cut architectual lines. It looked really cool! I'll post the images when the competition is over; I have no idea if there are any rules about it so I don't want to accidentally break any.
When it comes to retouching I've gotten 3 covers the last couple of week. None of them are published so I can't post the images quite yet, but I can still reveal which ones. I've done one for KK for Siren Lauvdal, but I have no idea which one as KK comes out quite often. I've also done the cover for the next (I think) ALFA issue for Erik Asla. This was a new experience for me as I'm not really used to retouching that kind of image (you'll see).
And the last but absolutely not least, I actually got to retouch the December issue of ELLE. Cover + 10 pages inside. Woho. :-) That was fun! They usually use their own retouchers in Sweden, but because of short deadlines and a few lucky coincidences, I got it. And hopefully we'll work together again in the future as it seems they were happy with what I did.
In between all of these I've had some interior retouching and some catalouge done too. And of course, I've worked at Interfoto 4-5 days a week so I've basically worked from I've woken up until I've gone to bed with some pee-breaks and snacks in between. Crazy weeks!
I don't really know what's in store for me in the future. Mona Berntsen is coming home for Christmas and we're thinking about doing another shoot since our last one was such a hit. Looking forward to it! Maybe I can make that dance-video I've been wanting to do for so long now?
I'll try to blog more often instead of throwing a long piece of text at you like I've done now. SOZ!
xoxo
